i'm gathering all my paperwork to submit for my smc. I put that I had asthma on my eoi so now I need to submit documentation. I was going to go see a specialist to get a clearance but would I just be able to go to a general physician?

In your place I would use the doctor whose care I am normally under for this condition.

Well i haven't been to a doctor other than the immigration doc since we've been here. so should i just get my doctor from back home to send something?

You could do, yes, for the history, but that probably won't be enough. From what has happened to other people, the MA will almost certainly want to see a very recent report.
