Default Medical waiver differences - work vs SMC application

    Hi
Again sorry if it's asked but where can I find info re medical waivers and the difference between what's available for work and residential applicants? All the links I find on here are dead links and searching on INZ also brings nothing up.
Our work visa is submitted but we have an ITA so don't know if it would best to submit that too, if it gives more options should the worst happen and we get a not ASH
    Thanks

Hi, we are in the same boat, already has ITA as well but also a work visa. From my understanding there are no differences between work vs SMC. Both has to be declared ASH before granted.
Have you read this document? https://www.immigration.govt.nz/assi...12eae2f2c9431a

if its already declared ASH for your work visa and it is less than 3 years ago and nothing significant with your health has changed, then you don't need another one for future applications. (source: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...al-examination .. last paragraph)

    Thank you.

From my understanding with a medical waiver I'm not eligible if I'm only applying for a temporary visa but might be for a residents visa so long as all other conditions of the visa are met? (Which they should be).

If we are or are not declared ASH may be borderline from what I've read. I don't think anything is serious enough for an outright no and put doctors are writing in our support, but cumulatively perhaps we are in trouble, in which case a medical waiver *might* be possible..... if we complete our ITA. ?

There are all the regulations listing medical requirements. (There was another post on here this morning talking about dead links. It's only the 'immigration.gov.nz' links to the main INZ website which have become superseded because they updated the whole website a few months ago. Nothing going to 'opsmanual' should be dead, so if you're having difficulty with one of those, try with another browser.)
