Default EOI Selected on 12 October 16

    Hi Guys

My EOI Was selected on 12 Oct 2016. I have few questions which are related to new policies and generic process:

    1. How long it might take for me to receive an EOI ?
    2. Does opting for email as preferred communications method in EOI fasten the process in any way ?
    3. As per immigration (https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...glish-language) if I have been working in New Zealand for more than one year, I will not have to sit for an IELTS examination. Is that correct ?
    4. Can someone please list the points/steps from EOI till the visa granted ?

thanks very much in advance. It is a helpful group.

    1. You've sent in your EOI. It is an ITA (invitation to apply) you are waiting for, and it will probably take 3 - 4 weeks.
    2. No.
    3. Yes.
    4. See here. http://www.enz.org/forum/showthread....951#post545951 (It's always worth doing a search - a lot of questions have been previously answered.)

    Thanks again JandM

Do you think if they have to ask me to sit for an IELTS examination they would do it in ITA ? or they will ask it later ? Because I got an automatic email (when new rules were introduced) ; which I assume everyone might have received that english requirements have been changed and you may require to sit for an IELTS test unless you meet english criteria otherwise ?

    thanks in advance

If you have been issued on or after 12 Oct, you need to provide this https://www.immigration.govt.nz/docu...es/inz1060.pdf

If they want something different, the notification will probably come after the ITA has been lodged.
