Default Mother in Law Tourist Visa Extension - Please help

    Hi,

    Situation explained below.

Hi me and my wife are on NZ resident Visa from last 3 years and my wife is pregnant, The Baby is due is n late January.
My Mother n law is already here since 28th May 2016 on Tourist Visa until 28th November.

We have been just told my our mid wive that there are chance of C Section.
So we like to extend her visa for another 6 months, so she can look after my wife.
As per the rules, she can only have 9 months stay in 18 months period.
Me and my Wife both works full time in IT industry, we can support her application financially.

Please advise, if she able to extend her visa for another 6 months.

    Thanks
    Max

    Thanks heiryz,
Yes had a look at the webpage, my question is weather she can extend for another 6 months visitor visa or not?
if so, what supporting documents we need to provide, to justify her stay for another 6 months.

No, she can't extend a normal visitor's visa for that long. What heiryz is helpfully showing you is a DIFFERENT visitor's visa which would allow her to stay longer (the parent/grandparent visa).

Otherwise, she could leave NZ soon, and come back again near the expected time of the birth.
