Visitor visa

Hi
Is it possible to apply for Visitor visa (or Waiver Visitor visa as I am eligible) if already in New Zealand on Working holiday visa which is about to expire? I want to extend my stay for another three months.
Do I have to leave the country before I apply? I couldn't find if it's clearly stated somewhere. Thanks

You can apply. Just prove you are planning to leave the country when the visitor visa expires (if granted). You also need to provide a full medical since you have stayed in New Zealand for a year already.

If you want to avail of the waiver program you need to exit then enter again...
