Hi all, just a few questions I hope you can help me with. My partner is from Argentina and we plan on going for the aforementioned visa. With most things in Argentina being paid in cash, we don't have much of a paper trail of our time living together. HOWEVER, we were robbed in January and the police report identifies us as living together and being in a couple, so I'm just wondering, will it be OK to use this in conjunction with his contract for our apartment, even though my name wasn't on the contract? In regards to the contract, it verifies how long we had the apartment for. We also have photos of people visiting us in the apartment etc.
I also have friends from Argentina who are going to write us letters, including my old boss at a hostel where I was staying until I moved in with my partner. Again, Argentina is a bit difficult at times and the post is awful. Do letters need to be signed, or are they OK with the passport or national ID number of the person writing them? If not, can they be signed and scanned and sent directly to an immigration officer?
On top of this we will have a tenancy agreement and NZ bank account for us living together here in NZ plus photos, some of holidays together, with each others mothers, lots of contact during our time apart, I paid for his flights to NZ and domestically, so that's all in my account record..
Also, in regards to translating Spanish to English, it doesn't appear to me that it HAS to be done by a govt official, and I have a friend with a degree as a Spanish/English translator. Would it be acceptable for her to translate our documents for us?
If I'm right in understanding, as he'll be staying for only year, he only needs the x-rays, not the medical as well.. Can any doctor do this, or do they have to specialise in it?
I think that's about it, thank you!
