Tourist Visa Extension up to 9 month?

Hi,

I'm in New Zealand since 06/2016, first on a Visitor Waiver Visa, then applied in 08/2016 for a Tourist Visa until 12/2016. Now I want to extend my Visa so I have to apply for another Tourist Visa to stay longer. I am allowed to stay up to 9 month. Now I am wondering what I can choose for the "Estimated date of departure from New Zealand" at the application form, because that will be the date I would have to leave latest. Is it 9 month including my first 3 month on the Waiver Visa, then it would be 03/2017? Or does the 9 month period starts after the start date of my Tourist Visa (08/2016), then it would be 06/2017?

I had the same scenario as yours. 3 months waiver visa, requested to extend another 9 months. Visa approved but 9 months is actually including the 3 months waiver visa. Good luck
