    Default Earthquake and tsunami

I'm thinking of all of you and hoping you're safe. May your god be with you. Look after yourselves, and one another.

Certainly rock 'n' roll for a few minutes there but no damage done. Had eight unexpected refugees (and their animals!) because they evacuated the beach communities. Getting some sleep now...

We've got some damage here in Wellington, but otherwise safe. I hope everyone is doing well!

It sure did rock and roll for a few minutes, I wondered what the loud slapping noise around the house was and it was the pool being half emptied. No damage to the house that we can see.
    Stay safe everyone.

A very scary experience, aftershocks still happening every couple of minutes, some breaks in between, then they start again.

We got off lightly here in Blenheim, compared to, for example, Kaikoura. Road is closed north and south of Kaikoura due to slips.

The main quake just after midnight was pretty scary and then there's been regular aftershocks. Wellington's CBD was in lock down as they assessed the damage. All rail, bus and ferry services were suspended. Now bracing ourselves for the storms and 140km/h winds.

    Hope everyone stays safe.
