Default Partner of Post-Study Open Work Visa

    Hi all,

I have a question regarding the status of Partner of Post-Study Open Work Visa holder. I am not sure if the question has been asked but please allow me to raise my concern.

My spouse is studying Postgraduate Diploma program, and I am seeking a job with my Partnership-based Temporary Work Visa. I hope that I can secure a job before my visa expires, however I wonder when my spouse completes the Postgraduate program and apply for a Post-Study Open Work Visa, can I again apply for Partnership-based Temporary Work Visa, in case I am not able to find a job by then?

It would be great if anyone can share a link of immigration regulation on this case, if possible!

    Thank you all!

A partner-based temporary work visa can depend on a post-study work visa as well as on a student visa. The post-study work visa IS a work visa, therefore this is where to look. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...k-visa-holders

Thank you JandM. Just to make it clear, do I understand correctly that both post-study work visa (open) and post-study work visa (employer assisted) are considered as work visa?

Furthermore, when my wife has post-study work visa (open) and I am again approved for partner-based temporary work visa, can our kids (6 and 10 years old) apply for domestic student visa based on their relationship either with my wife or myself, i.e. either my wife or I can sponsor visa for our children?
