Default ACPO check and Penalty Notice for Disorder/Fixed Penalty Notice

    Hi all,

SOrry if this question has been asked loads of times. In 2006, I received a Fixed Penalty Notice for criminal damage (accidental I might add!). I'm about to apply for a Bunac visa and an ACPO police check is required. An FPN is not a conviction or a caution and is eligible be stepped down immediately. However, I'm still not sure if it'll show up on that check.

Also not clear whether it'll say "No Trace" or "no Live Trace".

Apparently I can't apply for the visa if I have a conviction or a caution, even though i don't, but obviously I really need the check to be blank.

Anyone know whether they show up or not?

    Thanks!

What is the question that is asked by Bunac on the application? Arrested? Convicted? Charged?

I don't actually know until I can apply tomorrow. All they have said is no convictions or cautions. This is neither, but they also said a police check has to say "no trace". I don't know whether it will or not.

can you even apply befoire you have police check in hand?

Are you following online process for UK PC?

maybe you could contract them directly and ask what will show?

I think I sign up, get the check then apply.

I'm mainly wondering if anyone else has any experience of this and if their check came back "no trace" or "noise trace".

I can find out when I do the check but the suspense is agonising.
