Default Partnership Working Visa Help Please

    Hi there,

I am really impressed with this Forum. Really very helpful and gives hope to each and everyone. we are planning to apply for partnership working visa as we are aware that residency is impossible at this time. We are in Long distance for 15 months because i was on a process of finishing my degree and get my license before moving with him. But by the time that we were apart, He visited me for 4x or 5x( like every 3-4 months). So to maintain our relationship we are always in communication, like skype , especially facebook and other means of communication. He calls me at my phone, send me text and like literally We are so clingy with Each other. He even. always bring me towork with his earphones on while hes working. ( He worked as network Fault specialist here in Auckland). He always send me surprise gifts and sometimes send me money to support myself. Hes been spending everything for us. Ofcourse i spent for him but.im afraid that wont be counted as i always pay in cash . I dont have my own funds like ( Bank account) as I was just a student before. Im just 22 years old and He's 23. All of his friends know about me even workmates as I used to work in their company offshore. ( Im from Philippines, Hes in NZ) but thats how we met. We met at Work when he went to Philippines to do upskill stuff for us. ( im sorry have to share everything , this is to understand my case huhu)

Now, Got my licensed and finished my degree . the.long wait was over when our.planned to move here was fulfilled. However, we apply for general tourist visa ( Online application) As we dont know about partnership based visa however glad that we didny apply for that as I found out later on, that only couple that have lived together will be eligible. So I apply for General Tourist Visa online (but he declare me as partner) was initially declined as they not convinced im not "bonafide tourist" based on my circumstances and i humbly understand that. and I dont have my own funds cos even if u have sponsor by someone that doesnt mean they will automatically accept our visa. I understand that the CO just doing her work however as they are convinced that we are in geniune relationship,I was offered a General Tourist Visa for 6 months ( Single entr y) to give me chance to be with my partner, meet his family and our friends. provided that I will pay my bond for 3k nz dollar. So.my kiwi.partner paid that im by Gods grace Im here now at NZ. Good thing about this visa is I can extend and apply for another visa/ no returned ticket require etc.

Now, we are planning to Apply for Partnership.working visa on Feb 2017. We have lived together now for 1 month. We slowly workibg on with our evidences. We have apply for a bill,( phone, electric) and Joint Tenancy agreement( its under his dads name but should be fine as we can just ask.him.to write a letter to testify we are living here together since i arrived her) Now.my.problem is We cant do the Joint account as Im not allowed to as for ASB (and other bank) BECAUSE IM ON TOURIST VISA. im a bit worried about this Is it.possible still to get accepted even without this? i have.spent for him but only via cash while im here so im.thinkibg of keeping the receipt (pak n save, taiping) even if not showing my name just to tell them.honestly that i am helping my partner in my own ways and once Ill ve granted for working visa soon, thats the time we will start the joint banking.

Please share your thoughts guys about my case and give me some advices. im really in desperate and wanted to help my partner.

    All the best

The listing of a joint bank account isn't mandatory. You can show that you are buying things which are for your shared home and for the use of both of you by making sure you get some receipts, but preferably getting some which show your name (and maybe also delivery address). You can get creative - ask a store to obtain (whatever), hold it, and notify you when it comes in, so you can buy it - then you'll have the paperwork. You can do this even if it's money your partner gave you to make the payment. Order things online to be delivered. If you have your own bank account, even though it's not joint, you can highlight payments for some items, then also submit the receipt showing what it was.

    Hi Kimmy8888,

Same situation here. I have 8 months visitor visa subject to bond. Arrived in NZ on October and was able to open a joint bank account at the same month.

BNZ. Nope, we are not married. Just go personally to the bank, bring your passport with you and the decision letter from INZ. God Bless.😇

By the way, I don't have any proof of address in NZ when we applied for a joint bank account. My partner told to the bank officer that it is impossible for me yet to have a proof of address coz I just arrived here so the bank officer ask any letter I received from INZ showing my overseas address.

How about you wait for your utility bill? Pretty sure you can use it as proof of address

You shouldn't have any problem having come in on that visa.
