Time taken to transfer resident visa from old passport to new passport

Hi All
I am planning to travel out of new Zealand in the next 3 weeks.
And I have renewed my passport and want my resident visa to be transferred to my new passport.
I have all my travel ticket and itinerary with me.
Any idea how long will it take to transfer the resident visa from my old passport to my new passport if I show the inz my travel documents?

I'm planning to submit it at the Auckland queen street branch.
I'm worried because of the Christmas holiday close down.

Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated.

You won't be able to do this till INZ reopen after 4 January.
It shouldn't take more than 7 days or so if you provide evidence of planned travel or possibly Queen St might still do it for you in the spot if it's urgent.
