Default Carpenter Moving to Auckland in April

    Hi my names Luke.

Me and my girlfriend are moving to Auckland in March. And I have a few questions if whoever would like to help me.

I'm a NVQ level 2 qualified carpenter and have 7 years experience. When I apply for jobs in Auckland can I just show them my English qualification or do I need to get it transferred into the New Zealand equivalent?

In England to work on big sites in the U.K you need a cscs card which is for health and safety. Is there the equivalent for New Zealand and can somebody point me in the right direction.

    Would really appreciate some help!!!

    Thanks in advance.

    Luke

Employers probably more interested in your experience rather than qualification.

Each employer might have their own H&S course requirements/inductions , but see here for some courses? www.sitesafe.org.nz

    What visa have you got?
