Smc resident visa - first entry

Hello, this is my first post in the forum.

My name is Gonzalo and with my wife we will be moving soon to NZ.

We are from Argentina and we have been granted with a SMC resident visa that expires on December 2nd.
We have already the blue stickers in our passports.

What we would like to know is:

What else is compulsory to have in our first entry? (other than the visa sticked on a passport that is not expired)

We are trying to open an account in the Kiwibank. Is a little complicated and a lot of paperwork but not impossible. This is really necessary to do before we move in or we can do it when we arrive to NZ?

You don't have to have a bank account before you arrive.

I still have one doubt:

In our visa says:
Visa valid for further travel for 24 month(s) from first arrival. Initial stay subject to grant of entry permission. Visa is invalid if holder is outside NZ with expired travel conditions. Please apply for transfer of this visa when the passport expires.

What does "Initial stay subjet to grant of entry permission" mean?

We need to do or prove something to be granted this "entry permission"?

That is only a form of words and nothing to worry about. The 'grant of entry permission' involves you going to the Immigration desk at the airport when you arrive in NZ, where the official will stamp your passport, and will usually say, 'Welcome home.'
