Catholic education & costs

Hi, Hoping to move to Waikato region, perhaps Cambridge this year. Understand that to attend catholic school you must pay dues and a voluntary contribution. Any idea how much voluntary contributions are these days? What do other costs amount to e.g. uniform, school supplies & books? Have 5 and 6 year old.

Also, if we decide to not send them to a catholic school, what are our options for religious education/preparation?
