    Default Enroll in electoral

    Hi
I am a bit confused and wonder if anyone can clarify that.
I arrived NZ mid of Feb 2016 in Work visa (Work to residence category). then applied for SCM and got my residence on September 2016.

Now I received a letter to enroll in electoral. I am happy to enroll but my what lead to confusion that
    1. they said you need to be living contentiously on NZ fro more than 1 year (which I did) . but no mention if this should be while you are residence or the period I stayed on work visa count ?
    2. they said Permanent residence .. I am residence ( still have my 2 years travel conditions). are they mean Permanent who stayed more than 2 years already ? or I can be considered as permanent as long as I am in NZ ?

Yes, they mean for you to enrol.

For the purposes of registering as an elector, a permanent resident is someone who is entitled to live indefinitely in New Zealand.

If you hold a resident visa or a permanent resident visa and have lived in New Zealand continuously for 12 months or more you are eligible to enrol and vote.
