How to apply for an extenson on Work Visa - Partnership

Hey I currently have a work visa based on partnership that was granted for a year until July - I am in the process of saving and going to apply for residency but would like to get an extension on the current work visa to cover me while I save and the processing times of the resident visa. How do I go about getting an extension, is it the same form as I originally filled in for the partner work visa? Just wanting to look into costs as well and get this one sent of asap so it's a bit less of a stress trying to get this residency in asap! Thanks!

You just have to apply for another work visa, as you did before, proving you're still living together, etc..
