    Default IQA from NZQA..

    Hi all,

I was told that Overseas qualification must require International Qualification Assessment ( IQA ) from NewZealand Qualification Authority to match with the comparable NZQF Qualification.

May i know how to obtain this from NZQF? Anyone gone through this before? Please guide me.

We had to do the IQA, we applied online and then sent all supporting documents. Takes around 10 weeks according to their site

Yes we did SMC, however the IQA process is to find the equivalent New Zealand Qualification of your overseas Qualification. The NZQA company is not part of immigration some companies may require you to show that your degree is equivalent to one in New Zealand. If you want to do Post Graduate studies the same would apply.

Off their site "The benefits of a qualifications framework
The NZQF is a definitive source for accurate information about all quality assured qualifications. This allows you to benchmark your level of skill and knowledge on the NZQF and makes it easier for countries and regions to compare qualifications.

For employers it makes explicit what graduates can “do, be and know” on completion of the qualification. And for all parties it lays out pathways to further education, employment and/ or a contribution to their community.

Qualifications can be achieved in different settings including the workplace and education institutions. This allow learners to achieve it in ways most suited to their educational, work or cultural needs and aspirations."

Can anyone tell me whether there is any alternative to submit the original degree certificates?

coz i have all my original documents back home and is there a alternative to apply for the same without the originals?

any attested copies of the certificate will be valid?

As per my knowledge, the candidate has to submit the originals for NZQA.
