I'm waiting. My application was approved online on March 11, 2017. A couple of weeks already passed, but I'm still eagerly waiting for the AIP.

    Hi jandM
Do you have any idea how the memo to CO will affect the application process does it speed up or again it delays up

I can't see that the memo mentioned in the news item is likely to have any generalized effect on ALL applications. It's not about the processing itself.

This memo is saying to all COs that they don't have to put up with being hassled by applicants, or agents or lawyers, or people on behalf of the applicants, and if anyone tries to hassle them, they should report the fact to their seniors. It doesn't say what would then happen to a case where someone had tried to put pressure on the CO - I suspect its processing would take longer because of the situation being looked at by INZ seniors, and a warning being issued. But it wouldn't affect other cases, where the ordinary procedure would continue.

This memo is like this notice you sometimes see in hospital emergency rooms: "Our staff have the right to work without fear of violence or abuse. Aggressive behaviour is considered to be any personal, abusive and/or aggressive comments, swearing, physical contact and/or aggressive gestures. Any violence or abuse directed at staff by patients, relatives or members of the public is unacceptable. We operate a zero tolerance policy towards this and will follow matters up with the police." Such a warning ONLY concerns people who behave in a certain antisocial way - ordinary decent behaviour will not trigger any reaction.
