Default Documentation for selling used car

    Hi there

I am intending to sell my used car to a local buyer

Will complete the paperwork with the buyer together in AA Agents office

Other then getting a copy of the completed Form MR 13B, is there any other document also I should get signed by the buyer to protect myself ?
The payment will be made online directly to my bank
I am not taking a deposit and selling at a later date.
The buyer has got the car checked by his mechanic and is satisfied with the condition.

Also should i use the standard Vehicle Purchase Agreement generated on Motorweb ?

In it I did not understand this clause :

"10. The Seller will return the Buyer’s deposit in full within three (3) days should the conditions of this agreement not be met or
    waived by the Buyer."

Any idea what are the implications for this clause on me as a seller ?

Any alternative form I can use ?

    Thanks for advising

I've always given the buyer a simple receipt, which you sign and date

Received the sum of $1000 for Toyota Carolla reg. number MRX 123 sold as seen, tried and approved without guarantee

To protect yourself you simply go online and fill the the seller section, notifying LTSA who you sold it to.

There may be more but that is all I've ever done

A nice simple looking contract here -
