Question Did the NZQA document requirements page just update?

I was getting our documents together to submit for IQA, and just went to double check what we need - the page looks different to me now. It mentions sending in everything electronically, scanning your certified documents...

    Is this new?

"NZQA now accepts legible, coloured, scanned, and certified copies of accompanying documents. You must check the list of documents required for the country in which your award was issued. "

Can anyone confirm this please? Is it necessary to also submit physical documents via courier?

It might be too new for people to have gone through the process and have info to report back... but all the instructions I see on the site are now for digital documents. You should click on your country to find out specific requirements.
    Here's that page again:

Okay the documentation requirements have definitely changed, there is now a notice posted asking people to double check.

"As part of your application you will send scanned PDF or digital photo files of your certified documents. Include images of the backs of any document that has information on its other side). Each document should be saved as a separate file (e.g., do not combine all of your pdfs/images into one file). Certified copies must be stamped/endorsed by a competent authority with the legal right to make a certifying statement with wording (or similar if not in English) as follows:

    • “I certify this is a true and accurate copy of the original document seen by me”.
    • The statement must include: Stamp/formal endorsement with full name, official title/position of signatory, date, followed by signature.
    • The certifying statement must be clear and legible, and must be completed for each page of the documents submitted."

Hi, I have a similar question to this, and I am confused about certified copies. If NZQA now accepts the certified copies, do we still need to submit the original copies? If we submit the original copies, I do not think NZQA needs the certified copies, because NZQA can certify the original copies by its own.

Check what NZQA say they require. If they require both, then that is what you send. It doesn't have to make sense to the public - they are the ones making the rules here.
