    Default Place name pronunciation

An entertaining video to help people pronounce place names correctly (and if you're overseas, to get used to hearing kiwi accents )

Wellington student's 'Toe Paw' video helps out Kiwis who reckon they can't pronounce te reo Maori http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post...e-te-reo-maori

Depends on what area you come from, as to the pronounciation.

I agree with the du Plessis-Allan article; mangling language is something we all do a lot and people who think they should should correct you are just annoying. "Actually it's pronounced toe-paw". Well is depends what language you are speaking at the time; if it's English then no, it is not pronounced toe-paw.
