    Default Resident visa - Skilled Migrant AIP expiry Date. ONE YEAR countdown

    Good Morning,

    My resident visa - Skilled Migrant has been approved on 07 March 2017. As I am planning my move to New Zealand next Year (2018) during May or June, thus I was planning to get my passports stamped accordingly this year in June (as I was given a timeline of 6 months till 07 September 2017 to get it done).

    I was not aware and did not find any such information on website that my ONE YEAR countdown will start at the time I received AIP (07th March 2017) or it will be starting when visa will be stamped on passport.

    You have to travel within 12 months after the visa label is put in your passport.
