Hi folks,

I am Java developer recently going to New Zealand in First week of June.I wanted to know is there any practical tips that will help me to find job .
I have done below things

LinkedIn profile created
Seek.com profile created and applied.


Positive Points

I got 3 interview calls out of which i was able to crack one interview till final round.

Negative Points
Every application there are just rejecting or there are advising that they don't entertain overseas applicants.


I need how to go ahead with my job search. Any simple tip and advise will be very helpful.
Can i physically visit recruitment agencies,etc

Hi sarfoo4u,

I can't probably help you too much as I'm in similar situation as you still looking for an opportunity in NZ (as a web applications developer).
I also created profile on seek and regarding linkedin I started adding to my connections people from NZ with similar job profile and agents. Up to now it didn't help yet but it can make it easier for NZ employer to find you if your profile matches the requirements.

Anyway, please let me know how was your trip to NZ, did you have any interviews there, and what was the result?
