Changing job after residency approved

My visa was approved online two days ago. I have worked for 11 months in the skilled job I applied under. I am waiting on my aip but I have been offered a new job. Am I able to just quit my job?

It depends if there is any condition imposed in your residence class visa such as staying in the job or region under which you gained residency.
If none, then you are free to choose whatever job you wish to take. You have all same rights and priviledges as with an NZer once residency is granted.

You don't have residence until the visa label is in your passport.
