Ask passport back

I have applied in March for my essential skills work visa and still waiting. Now I have also booked an IELTS test and I need my paspoort for that, But my passport is with immigration in Wellington (I'm based in Auckland). How can I get my passport as soon as possible for the test?

In the ordinary way, just tell INZ you need your passport for whatever reason, and they will send it. You will have to talk to them about how you can get it quickly. How long is it till your test?

Hi jdeheij. I had to ask for my passport to be returned as well. All I did was call in the contact centre and requested for my passport to be mailed. It came in two working days. As JandM mentioned - I think it's best you inform them the urgency. Hope this helps.
