Default Does a declined application influence 'Bona Fide'?

I have been granted a number of Essential Skills visas in the past, and I recently applied for a work to residence visa but was declined due to not meeting the requirements of the work instructions. I intend to apply for an Essential Skills visa again, however I wondered if this would be influenced at all by the fact that I have now previously applied for a visa which leads to residence.

An Essential Skills visa is a temporary visa, therefore a bona fide applicant for a temporary visa should in theory display a willingness to return to their home country when the visa expires. Would Immigration take issue with the fact that I have demonstrated a desire to gain residence?

    Cheers.

I doubt that it would make a difference that you tried and it didn't work out that time.
