Query on NZ Work and Holiday Visa

2 years I applied and was approved for a NZ Work and Holiday Visa. At the time of application I was living in Australia. I was intending to enter NZ 6 months from acceptance. However, I had family problems and needed to return back to the United Kingdom so I missed the opportunity to enter. I wanted to re apply because in Australia the visa is only valid if you activate it (by entering the country).

I know that once 12 months elapses from expiry you can re apply and are just required to pay the fees again, this is due to the fact you never used to Visa. My question is does this apply to NZ? Or have I missed my chance?

You can't have another NZ Working Holiday Visa. It was granted, and that is your one grant - the fact that you never used it makes no difference.

If you’re outside of New Zealand and we’ve approved an earlier application for you to have a New Zealand Working Holiday Visa, you can’t apply for this visa. This applies even if you didn’t use that visa.
