I have lived in NZ for a year, and I have applied for a visitor visa to visit my partner.

I am still awaiting the outcome of my application, today my case officer asked me for an estimated departure date and if I have plans to emigrate to NZ to live permanently with my partner.

We intend to apply for a partnership visa later, but right now I need the visitor visa. How should I respond?
