    Default Essential skills visa

    Hi everyone,
I have applied for the south isaland contribution work visa but it got declined because inz said that I undertook employment unlawfully 6 yrs ago. This was a long story and I did make this mistake and it's not my purpose in the first place and I explained to inz but my visa still go declined as they said I am not a bona fide applicant. I feel like I have no hope to get my residency visa in the future but I still hope I could work in NZ. I am wondering if this declined application will make a huge impact to my future applications? How likely I will be granted an essential skills visa after my current one expires? Thank you in advance!

You may be one of the people who would benefit from consulting an LIA or immigration lawyer. This kind of case doesn't have regulations written up that the public can consult, and the professionals can call on specialist knowledge.
