Partnership Points SMC Clarification

Hi all,

I understand that INZ says that partner will be granted residence only if they have lived with the principal applicant for 12 months or more. In case, it is less than 12 months, then can points for partner still be claimed even though the partner does not get approved for residence with the principal applicant and waits?

No. The applicant must be able to show evidence of 12 months' partnership in order to claim points for the partner.
