New Visa Rules

Hi sorry to ask a question that may have already been asked. I was wondering what the latest was with new rules. I’m waiting on a decision on residency but according to the new rules I’d be classed as mid skilled. I earn 45k. Wondered if this will affect a visa application because as it’s less than 49k or does this not matter anymore? I’m about to apply for my new work visa whilst my residency application is decided.

Your application will be being processed according to the rules that were in force at the time it was lodged. No changes that are in the pipeline now make any difference to people whose applications were lodged under the old rules.
