EOI Selections during elections

Hello,

I was wondering what happens to the EOI selections during election and transition period till a new government being formed. More importantly, if National doesn't come back in power, then will the immigration be paused instantly to overhaul the policies according to the ruling party's ideology. Will we then look at another policy change in less than a month and a half?

All the veterans here, please share how has it been in the past?

Nothing stopped.

INZ regulations are part of NZ law. The law - all parts of it - stays in force, during and after any election. If a new government has plans to change any part of it, it takes time, and the preliminary discussion will be announced.
