Fast (1 day) Visitor visa approval

Hi,

Just a quick question to ask if anyone else has had a visit visa approved in less than a day?

My girlfriend who is Thai applied for a 3 month visit via on Monday last week. The payment was taken on the Thursday and it was approved on Friday morning.

I know this visa isn't dependent on being bona fide partners but i'm still surprised it came through so quick considering we've never lived together and had limited other evidence of partnership?

Anyone else experienced unexpectedly fast service from INZ?

Not unheard of, but less common these days with VACs and online lodgements. i see yours actually took 5 days or more. I've had a residence application approved in 6 hours.

6 hours!!! Was it partnership based resident visa? Even then, 6 hours is faster than bullet train .

6 hours is amazing if it's Residence.

INZ advised me processing - Partnership-based Residence is currently about 6 months not 4 at the moment. I guess case by case.

6 hours..... and now we just wait for assign CO already take 6 months....
