Thanks for your reply, i was hoping for my father to use it as a principal applicant and my mother together with the online application if i do choose a tourist visa application over a parent visa, that means i have to do it through paper submission.

There are still quite a few situations in which it is not possible to submit online, and quite often, annoyingly, part of a family could, but another part couldn't. But that's just how it is...

but if they are travelling as "genuine tourists", then each could submit separate online applications.
