    Default Essential Skills Work Visa

    Hi guys,
I applied for an essential skill visa. My employer advertised the position with 22$/hour on work and income site. But we agreed to 35$ per hour afterwards. Does he have to advertise the job again because the conditions have changed?
    Cheers, Rob

He may find that INZ think he hasn't advertised fairly. See here, https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/66935.htm, WK3.10.5 a ii and b ii.

    Thanks for your fast reply.

But what if no one was found at Job and Income and in Newspaper ad. Isn't it a legal reason to raise the hourly rate to find someone? Or do you think the jump between 22 and 36 is too big?

Of course that could be argued, but it would be up to the employer to convince INZ of the sense. And I think their next question would be, 'How could that hourly rate attract new applicants if you haven't announced it publicly in an advertisement?'
