Has anyone dealt with NZ US Tax Specialists?

If so we'd like to know how it went. Their website seems to be the answer to our prayers, however, real-life testimonies from the folks here have always been one of our touchstones.
My wife and I emigrated from the U.S. to NZ in 2000, planning on living there forever. Unfortunately due to an issue with her brother's health my wife needed to move back to the U.S. in 2004 (just too far away at the time). Everything turned out fine and now we're looking at coming "home" (for all of the reasons you can imagine). We have Permanent Residence Visas.
One of the issues we're struggling with is how retirement income (401k, Social Security, stock earnings, IRAs, etc.) will be handled. We understand the "double taxation" treaty between the U.S. and NZ but how some retirement income is treated, particularly IRAs, seems to be a grey area. Our U.S. broker and accountant strongly recommended finding a firm with knowledge of both country's tax systems.
The NZ accountants we used previously handled our U.S. and NZ tax filings fine, but they don't seem to have a good handle on retirement, only earned income.
Any recommendations or advise would truly be appreciated!
Best wishes,
Rich
