About the friend, I don't think we have the full story - it doesn't make sense as it stands. A residence visa does not get revoked for a change of address - that is for some crime, or fraud, having been discovered. If the friend's residence had a condition on it that he must stay in the same job for a certain length of time, and because of the change of address, someone thought he had not done that, that is the kind of thing that could be sorted out by talking to the employer, checking that they are the same business.
