    Default Spouse PR eligibility

Dear All, Please clarify my below query

Me ( primary applicant) , my wife and son activated residency visas by arriving in NZ on 1st July 2017

    We left after one week

    1. I am planning to enter in Jan 2019 and apply for variation of travel conditions after 184 days after arrival ( approx - 1st July 2019)

    Then settle and obtain PR.

but my doubt is, do my wife and son need to enter before 30th June ( 2 years travel conditions will expire)

or they can still obtain PR once I receive without entering back NZ after 2 years from activation.

    Please clarify.

    2. Will they be allowed to come to NZ after 2 years travel conditions expired to visit or stay with me

    3. Can I get PR alone even without the secondary applicant meeting the criteria, if so how can I bring them to NZ after my PR

They will need to apply for a Variation of Travel Conditions at the same time you do, if they want to come to NZ after their travel conditions run out. It is your actions that determine what they are eligible for. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/43653.htm

The same thing is true for PR - when you qualify, you are doing it on behalf of all the people who were on your original application, as long as they activated their visa by entering NZ (which you have told us they did). https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...anent-resident
