first entry date!

Hello everyone!

Is there anyone who has sponsored his/her partner from overseas for visitor visa?
Just want to know what is the first entry date on visa label.

I am holding resident visa and I am going to India for a visit in January for six weeks(coming back 1st week of March). My wife wants to come back with me. I am bit confused when to apply her visitor visa.
Your help will be really appreciated.

INZ offices in India have a practice of issuing visas with a "first entry before date" of 3 months from date of issue of visa.

Id be applying ASAP. I think temporary entry decision s are currently taking 10-16 weeks in India.

One more quick question

do I have to fill INZ 1025 and INZ 1146 both for sponsoring my wife?

What visa are you sponsoring her for? The second of those forms is specifically for a partner-sponsored temporary visa.

HI JandM, Thanks for your reply.
She's applying visitor visa as we haven't live together after marriage. I was aware of form INZ 1025 for sponsoring someone. while I was reading that form, It mentions that for partnership you must complete 1146.
