Hi guys...
My online status has been changed to approved ( SMC resident visa). Just want to know how long it takes approximately to receive official AIP email or letter.

Could you please share your timeline? I believe AIP takes 2-5 weeks to arrive these days.

Good news for everyone who has SMC application because 1 approval means 1 new case to be assessed on queue.

My case was bit different... I would have been got it long time ago ( around April 2016) but immigration asked few things which took nearly 7 months....but my time line was

eoi selection oct 2016
Ita submitted Nov 2016
First case officer March 2017
Second case officer july 2017
Third case officer Sept 2017
Last documentation submitted Nov 2017
Approved online Nov 2017

Quite long but was straight forward.

As with so many INZ things, the waiting time for your AIP letter is unpredictable. Lately, some people have waited 4 - 6 weeks, but some have heard more quickly than that.

AIP email received today...and sent courier today itself....with passport and other required documents....!!! ... Fingers Crossed... hopefully stamping before Christmas....
