Default When is an overseas income and NZ income

    Hi,
I rent a property in the UK and live in NZ (1 year) the "profit" is not a lot and we don't need to pay any tax in the UK. I am also aware there is a rule about 4 years and not having to pay the tax in NZ.

My question is - if an income in the uk only ever stays in the uk, is it classed as an income in NZ? I do from time to time transfer small amounts of money to NZ but not regularly an this is usually money given to us by grandparents for my kids Christmas / birthdays etc.

    anyone?
    Cheers

    From the I.R.
If you are a resident of New Zealand for tax purposes, you will be taxed in New Zealand on all of your "worldwide income". This is income derived from New Zealand as well as income derived from all other countries
