Partnership residence visa

Hi. I have got resident visa approved few months back from a skilled job in nz. I had mentioned my nz citizen partner’s name in my skilled residence visa application, however she wasn’t included in application as she is a citizen here. We were in defacto relationship and things have changed and we are not together for some reasons. Immigration didn’t ask me anything about my relationship when i was being enquired about my job. So i just would like to confirm will this effect my any future partnership based residence visa application for someone else i want to support. Thnks

She didn't sponsor you for any visa, so that past relationship won't have any effect on anything you want to do connected with a future partner.

Thanks JandM. Do i still have to inform immigration nz tht i had mentioned her name on application and i am not with her anymore eventhough she wasn’t included.

You don't HAVE to, but it may simplify matters for later if you get it put in your records now.
