    Default Interim Visa question

    Hey everyone

I am from the UK and my current 12 month working holiday visa expires on January 13th 2018. I posted the application to extend the visa to 23 months on December 18th 2017. They have received the application but have not processed it yet.

Do I automatically move on to an temporary Interim Visa on the 13th if my application has still not been procsessed? Or do I have to leave the country?

    Thanks for your help.

You don't have to leave. INZ don't tell the applicant that an interim visa is being issued in advance - if one is necessary, it is announced within about a week of the date of expiry, usually.

Thank you. Yes they emailed to tell me an Interim Visa will be granted. Can I still work on the Interim Visa?

    Thanks

https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...isa-conditions You can check there. I think you would come under "Work (open) Work (open - same kind of open visa) Work (open)." But if in doubt, ask INZ.
