Default activating a SMC Residence Visa - Time limit??

If granted a SMC Residence Visa is there a standard length of time you must enter New Zealand to activate it?

    Or does it vary?

For example, if SMC approved and Blue Visa stickers inserted on 1st Sept 2018 but due to difficulty in selling the house they arranged to take up the job in Feb 2019 would that be possible?

    thanks all

From the date that the AIP is issued you have 6 months to provide your passports to INZ for visa label issue. From the date that the visas are issued you have 12 months to make an arrival in NZ, Then the travel conditions on the resident visa are valid for two years. ( so a permanent arrival can be delayed for 3 1/2 years.
That though is assuming its residence that is approved, (with the job offer) and not a job search visa.

it might though depend what the effect is of the Section 49 conditions, if any and the time to take up the employment as per AIP?
