    Default IQA level 8

Hi, guys, could you help us with your opinion?

My wife is going to apply for ltssl work to residence visa as an ICT Customer Support Officer. We've got her diploma in informatuon systems IQA outcome as a bachelour with honorous degree level 8. We also filled a Skills Shortage form with our IQA application and assessement has a comment section which says: "A qualification assessed above as New Zealand Qualifications Framework level 8 meets the credit and knowledge requirements of a qualification listed under the occupation of ICT Customer Support Officer".

Is it enough for the qualification to meet the requirments by the LTSSL or immigration service wants it exactly at level 7?

If you look at the qualifications listed under LTSSL for ICT customer support officer here http://skillshortages.immigration.go...pport-officer/, you will see that INZ do NOT require only Level 7s. Your wife's IQA has a specific outcome, saying that it meets the requirements.

To be honest, wording LTSSL is not quite clear, cause it says: "bachelor degree level 7 or a higher qualifications with minimum of 360 credits." But in our assessement we dont have any informatuon about credits. And i've red a lot of stories, when people got their applications declined, because the level was higher than 7. That's the reason, why we've decided to ask for advise
