    Default essential skills work visa

Hi, I am a registered nurse who applied for essentials skills work visa. It has been 45 calendar days since the submission of my online application and I was forwarded to an MA for my xray. The last time I spoke with immigration, I was told my application is in its final stage. How long does it usually take before everything gets done? Thank you.

It's unpredictable, so sorry, there isn't any 'usual' about it. Every case is verified individually.

INZ update their processing timeframes on their website on a regular basis: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/abou...sa-application.

At the moment, 75% of ES visa applications are finalised within 48 days, 90% within 69 days and 95% within 87 days. Because your medical went to the MA, I'd say it's likely that your timeframe would be a little longer than the "average".
