Hello, I have a question about criteria student has to meet for partner to be eligible to get work visa. Particularly, this line:
"a level 7 or higher qualification on our Long Term Skill Shortage List"
Ops manual adds "as specified in the LTSSL". But I still don't quite understand whether it refers to both programme specialisation and length in credits or just the specialisation.
Let's take information technology field, for example (from LTSSL): "A bachelor's degree at NZQF Level 7, or a higher qualification with a minimum equivalent of 360 credits".
Assuming student is going for 1-year level 7 graduate diploma in a field listed in LTSSL, does it mean student's partner won't get a work visa since it's not a 3-year course (considering 1 year = 120 credits)? I've seen different responses saying it should only be related, but education agent told me it has to be an exact match. I sent a query to INZ with the same question and they replied with "The qualification your partner is studying must be listed on the LTSSL, however not all qualifications listed on the LTSSL are for a 3 year period." Still pretty blurred for me, though looks more like it has to be exactly the same in credits.
I'll appreciate if you help me to clear this up.
