Default When will an interim visa be issued? How many days before the visa expiry date?

    As per this https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...a/interim-visa
interim visa is usually granted automatically.

How many days before the current visa expiry does this "automatic issuance" happen ?

I had applied for extension on 27th Ju ( further 3 months stay) for parents general visitor visa. It looks like processing takes longer than expected. Have not heard from
    INZ yet.

It varies, according to ChrisMwn. Even if you don't hear from INZ by the day, he said, it WILL have taken effect. You may not hear till ten days or two weeks afterwards.

oh I see ok, then in that case, I think I would contact the INZ customer care in Auckland to confirm if interim visa has been issued or not.
