WTR Talent Accredited Employer Visa - secondment
Hi there
I am on a Talent Accredited Employer Work Visa in which the visa label lists my job title and employer.
I have been approached by my manager with a development opportunity to do a half-year secondment when my colleague goes on maternity leave with the expectation that I return to my current role listed on the work visa at the end of the secondment.
The seconded role is not what is listed on my visa label as it is a secondment to backfill the position temporarily until my colleague returns from leave. Same team, same manager, same employer but different roles.
Do I need to apply for a variation of conditions if I am offered and have accepted the secondment? Likewise, at the end of secondment do I need to apply for another variation of conditions once I return to my current role?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Is the maternity cover role an equally skilled one to your current job?

Hi JandM, the maternity cover role is a more senior role than my current job. The secondment will be an opportunity for me to up-skill and develop myself towards career progression in my field
